Place signage around the site and if necessary block public access to the area.
Ensure that all workers are wearing the correct safety respirators and disposable overalls for asbestos removal.
As a precaution, use a low pressure PVA spray to seal any loose asbestos fibres that may be disturbed. Ensure that the pieces of fence remain wet until wrapped safely in plastic.
Remove all bolts and dig around the fence if necessary so that the sheets can be easily lifted.
Wrap the sheets in thick black plastic that is at least 2 microns thick and use duct tape or similar to hold the wrappings closed so that fibres and dust can’t escape.
